Diet?

Since January, I have been trying to eat right and exercise. I really let myself go during the holidays just as a "Last Hurrah" kind of thing. I really thought I could get out of those bad habits once the New Year began. My miracle holiday. I really do eat well during the day. Cheerios, fruit, veggies, lean meat, the whole package. But then late afternoon hits and the chocolate truffles start calling my name. The little box of candy from Valentine's Day or the birthday cake someone bought to celebrate one of the 700 birthdays we have around the office rears its ugly (but tasty) head. Chocolate covered pretzels, chips and dip or ice cream have actually been my dinner. I exercised for about two weeks before I lost the earbuds to my Ipod and used that as an excuse to come straight home and sit on the couch every night. Needless to say, this "healthy lifestyle" I resolved to live is about to sputter out and die. New Year's Day didn't perform as promised. Then, today I saw this plate on http://www.wists.com/.
I've seen arguments that it's not very bright to have a message like this on the bottom of your plate which will only be seen once your done eating (http://www.elitalice.com/2008/04/21/stop_eating_fatty/), but I don't care. I want a whole set. It gives me hope that there are others out there like me. All struggling. All looking at this piece of china as our last ditch effort to, well, Stop Eating Fatty. Maybe I'll hang it on my wall or on the refrigerator. I should have one at work and in my car. I can just see it now. I'll be skinnier than the latest teenage pop sensation. Have biceps and a six pack like every celebrity ever to hit the cover of Shape magazine. All because of my miracle plate.
