Just Another Day at The Office

There's a job opening at our sister company. It would be higher pay, more challenging work, something different. But I can't make myself go for it. It requires someone who is aggressive and good on the phone. I'm just not that kind of person. I used to be on the phone all day every day at my old position here, but I was happy to move on from that. Still, I can't help but feel like I'm missing out on a good opportunity. It's just that, I want to finish school and get a job in a completely different industry. Making this kind of move would mean that I'm at this company as a career and in the words of Jim Halpert from The Office, "...if this were my career, I'd have to throw myself in front of a train."

  1. I know exactly what you mean. I bought an amazing Jim Halpert for President shirt the other day. I found it at PantherTees.com. And if you enter the promo code pts10 you get 10% off. I think you might need one too...

  3. As a welsh person I have to say your Office is much better than the british version. We have friends in NC and we love to watch it when we come over! I love Jim! Going to see Get Smart this weekend before Hubby leaves for Uganda

  4. I tried to watch some of the British Office (since I really like British humor), but I couldn't get into it. I can't figure out why. I bet there are websites you can use to download the American version if you really wanted.

Get Smart was funnier than I expected. All the actors were funny, not just Steve Carell. I bet you'll like it!

  5. you have to see what is your long term goal before making the move. don't just take a sweeter deal in the short term but missing your long term goal.
